Prairie STEM - Omaha, Nebraska

Mission Statement:

Prairie STEM is a Nebraska not-for-profit corporation dedicated to encouraging Kindergarten through 12th grade learners to investigate and follow technical career paths by sponsoring engaging and hands-on activities in the classroom and learning activities outside the classroom.

Prairie STEM will support the 500 educators who have been touched by National Science Foundation educational robotics grants focused on in-school STEM learning, will reach out to other interested teachers for both in-school and after school activities, and engage with other organizations with STEM interests. In recognition of the changing student population demographics, Prairie STEM will give special attention to under-served, low-income, minority and female learners to stimulate their interest, participation and commitment to pursuing STEM careers.
